World All-around Silver medallist Daniel Keatings (Huntingdon) took the prestigious Westminster Trophy and the overall victory at the 2010 London Open held over the weekend 13/14th March. Dan's huge score of 90.500 took him clear of second placed Daniel Purvis (Southport YMCA) with Kristian Thomas (Earls) in third. 06/03/10 American Cup - Worcester, Massachusettes. Daniel finished 5th in his first competition of 2010, up against a strong field Daniel started nervously on his first apparatus and stepped out of the floor area just as he did in the World Championships, he then had an uncharacteristic fall on the pommel horse that left him chasing the field on the other four apparatus. The rest of the competition went well for Daniel but he was always chasing the leading pack and the difference after the first two apparatus was just to large to claw back. Daniel will be back in action at the London Open on March 13th. Watch out for Daniel when he appears on the BBC Question of Sport on Friday 4th December. 20/11/09 BBC Children in need - Glasgow Daniel appeared on the BBC children in need live broadcast in Glasgow when he was challenged to perform as many circles on the Pommel horse as possible in 60secs. Daniel managed to clock up 62 circles and donated £1 of his own money for every circle to the children in need cause. A big thank you has to go to OPUS ENERGY who also backed Daniel’s challenge and donated £1000 to the Children in Need.
