22/10/09 Yuri Ryazanov the Russian gymnast who placed third behind Daniel and won bronze at the World Championships was buried today in Vladimir, Russia.

Whilst driving home after the World Championships Yuri was involved in an accident 10 mins from his home. Yuri died instantly and our thoughts are with his friends and family on this very sad day.

Yuri was a gentlemen and a great competitor, always gracious in success or defeat, he will be missed by all of his competitors but will remain in our hearts and minds forever.

The gymnastics community has lost one of its brightest stars, rest in peace my friend.................
